🧇 ✨ Here are three things that I am enjoying this week: ✨ 🧇
JLab Go Air Pop Earbuds When my Airpods Pro died this year from an exhausted battery, I thought it would be good to try out a lower-cost alternative to see how it would go. I ended up finding these great sounding buds which often go on sale for $23 CAD which is $16 USD. The best part is you can switch the tips to use other brands that might sit more comfy in your ear canal. If you do end up getting them note that there are three sound profiles (EQs) to switch between.
UpNote Note-taking App Since I’m a cross-platform user on Mac and PC, I’m mostly left with Notion to store all my thoughts. Except Notion doesn’t work well when you want to take a note quickly or do journal entries. Everything needs to be filed and nested away. Their mobile apps can run slow. So it’s nice to have a traditional note-taker alongside a tool like Notion. So I have been happy with Upnote so far to fill this need. If you are Mac/iOS only I recommend Notes or Bear.
Easy Veggie Lunch I often get tired of going out and hunting down protein for my lunches, especially since I’m getting older and can’t catch squirrels as easily. So lately I start with a premade chickpea salad that has a lot of dressing and extra veggies in it, and then I add a bit of tahini which you can buy in a jar similar to how you buy peanut butter. Next you can add some chopped cabbage which a lot of Asian fruit markets sell here in Toronto. Finally some pumpkin seeds and feta cheese. I think this has enough nutrition and variety of colours to satisfy a good, small lunch salad. The chickpea salad and chopped cabbage last for a good week which makes it easier than spinning green leaf and romaine which max out at 3 days it seems. Bonus points if you add a bit of rice or quinoa.
