We have different variations of ourselves to work with.
Yesterday when I resisted plugging in my guitar, I had the intuition to call out Lazy Elliott for showing up.
Lazy Elliott didn’t like that so he hid for a bit while I proceeded to give the idea a shot.
There is also Crybaby Elliott who wants to get his way. Another word for a crybaby is someone who is stuck demanding or expecting things.
Yet everything we get to enjoy is a bonus. We don’t know why we’re here, spinning in infinite space, but one thing is clear. No one seems to get off the hook.
You have to do the work at some point or another.
There is also Visionary Elliott or Forgiving Elliott who deserve more attention.
If I can spend the first part of my day giving those versions the space they need to live, then I will usually have a better day.
The Scared Elliott can easily be activated simply by waking up and checking my phone.
This persona is related to Crybaby Elliott who will respond to information that isn’t that important.
