There is nothing more telling of a new season for a Canadian other than being dumped on with the cosmic middle finger that is snow. And yet we collectively find joy in the cozy feeling the winter brings as we get tucked in for the night. Or seeing the crispy white dust on a sunny day like what’s taking shape outside my window.
So with a new season is a new mix of music that was gathered from Elliott’s Podcast. I dedicate this to the Red Rockers group, after a phenomenal run of shows to see King Gizzard outside of Denver in October.
I share a message at the beginning of this mix to remind you to let go of perfectionism. I could hoard these songs forever, but the perfect moment to let go of them is right now.
Everything is happening in its perfect form, right on time. Life isn’t always pretty, but it’s taking shape either way. The surprises around every corner never cease to amaze me even if I’ve been down and out for a period of time. Have faith in the master plan that you were never consulted on.
We are collectively one big fingerprint in the sky. Here today, gone tomorrow and having a blast while we’re at it.

Thanks to Jordin for painting my portrait! He is my oldest friend and collaborator over many years, and lately he’s doing great work coming up with a unique method for portraits. Here is a timelapse from the original sitting.
Ok thanks for reading and listening, I wish you an inspired week taking in great art and listening to or making music.
And of course bagels.
