An image came to me this weekend. I could see the point in my day when the stress molecules started to get created.
That sense of fear and worry creeping into the bloodstream.
And in that moment I said, “I Choose Love”. That means I choose to work on the molecules of creativity.
New ideas and inspiration comes to us when we are open. When we don’t shoot down everything around us and label it as being bad.
But we need to give ourselves time in the morning to create this environment in the bloodstream. We need to resist checking the news or messages right after we wake up.
A walk in the morning before the city is bustling with activity is one of those moments where it’s basically proven to us. The world is a canvas and we paint it with our thoughts and emotions.
An acronym for FEAR is False Events Appearing Real.
This is the brush that our mind uses to paint the canvas.
Instead we can use LOVE which is code for Living One Vivid Experience.
Most of my friends that I grew up with have reproduced a child by this point in their life.
I ask them who are reading this today: When you look at your child(ren), do you look at them with a sense of fear? Worrying about their future?
Or can you live this one vivid experience (love), which is this exact moment in time?
“The Samurai Chooses Death” - this means the hero must surrender to the mission.
To choose love means we decide that we don’t want fear molecules in our bloodstream because they prevent us from getting our most creative work done.
Throw yourself into your life’s mission - it might not be a project because it could just as easily be a way of living.
To live in a way that is true to you and for what you think is right.
And when you come across the troll at the bridge, decide if you want to engage with it and let it convince you to turn back or if you prefer to just go ahead anyways (hint: Trolls are everywhere).
I give you permission, but you have to feel that permission inside yourself.
My challenge to you this week is to carve out time in the morning to tap into your hero’s journey and let that radiate through your bloodstream.
Good one today, my friend
Your words are the first words I read this morning. Thank you. I think I'll just check the weather app and go to my worktable to finish something I'm making as a gift to a family member, which is so much nicer than reading about what's going on in the world. I'll still read that stuff, but not until I filled my morning cup with love. Again, thank you.
