I almost negotiated a break from the podcast this week but I had decided that this is a slippery slope. So I came to an agreement with management about going audio-only this week.
I also now call it Elliott’s “Longcast” because it doesn’t seem realistic to get the episodes under 45 minutes. I have come to accept that some things need simply need time. And I talk about it in the episode, how our world is increasingly designed around short zippy sound bites.
But that’s not what this podcast is intended for. It’s quality time around the campfire for you and me. No other content outlet gives people such cozy and intimate experiences. So fire it up and enjoy.
The music in this episode is an afrobeat track that I released in July 2021 which had broken a period of writer’s block called Pinball in Laredo. I think it might be one of the best tracks I did this year. Listen to it on its own here.
Ok short and sweet, the way things should be.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the holidays and I look forward to seeing you again in 2022. To another year of Sunday Bagels…
