This week I have been rounding the corner on finishing one of those large bottles of moisturizer (Everyone Nourishing Lotion, 1L/32oz).
It’s quite a feat to get through that much product. I don’t know where my life was at when I bought this bottle, but I’m sure I’ve gone through the range of human experiences since then.
These days it’s hard to find companies that are willing to give out such a generous portion of anything, but in the moisturizer category you can still find good deals out there.
It’s the part of the bottle that you have to use the straw to start shifting the contents around or else nothing will take.
I think the bottle will go into recycling by around July, if not earlier. Either way this has been a fantastic project and I look forward to getting my next bottle of Everyone soon.
Which moisturizer do you use?
Three Ideas I’m Working Through
Here’s an idea to try on: That’s you’re here to make a positive impact on this world. No matter what your job is, no matter what tasks you’ve assigned to yourself, you are here to make that positive impact. You won’t truly grow up until you accept this mission. I could be way off base on this one though, I admit.
The resistance is the life force that pulls you down. It’s the dark side, it’s darth vader. When you feel its pull, call up the visualization of a tennis court and see a dark character serve you a ball. It’s now your job to volley it back and show it that it’s not going to win the game so easily. The muse plays tennis with the resistance every day.
Sometimes it feels like other people are trying to stand in your way. They will be in your way only if you’re watching channel one on the television set. This is where you see silly cartoons and corny reality tv shows. Flip to a higher channel to realize that no one is intentionally setting out to bother you. They are just doing their thing in a way that they understand the world. We become conscious by watching higher channels on the tv set and removing as many judgements about other people as we can.
Music Recommendation: Bitchin Bajas
I had heard a bit of Bitchin Bajas before but this week their music hit me like a ton of bricks.
They are a trio of tinkerers making experimental music that feels similar to some of the early electronic tape music like Laurie Spiegal, but also the hypnotic sequences of Terry Riley and Steve Reich.
To me I just hear jams and that’s what you can expect.
Also go for their 2014 self-titled album if you liked that one above.
Listen on YouTube or Bandcamp.
Happy birthday to my dear friend Missy! So glad your birthday fell on a Sunday.
And a big mazel tov to UPS Jordin and Mira who gave birth to the adorable baby Louis recently.
Birthdays and babies call for a bagel. But really everything in life deserves a bagel. You made it through a hard week, so make sure you don’t start another one without a solid bagel on a Sunday. To eat a bagel with cream cheese is to celebrate life.
Have any good announcements to share? Please send them my way.
Thanks for reading and have a great week…
