Releasing new works takes a lot of steps. I maybe do a fraction of what a typical indie artist does, but even with my modest list I find that you can get lost in the act of checkbox ticking.
If everything is simply a chore or a means to an end then it doesn’t feel like there’s any purpose. But I looked at my calendar planner for the month of April yesterday and it ends with “Live Stream” on the 30th. I was happy to know that throughout all the madness that goes on every month that I lived up to my goal of finishing this release and doing a live stream to celebrate one year of Elliott’s Podcast.
You really do have to push yourself a bit or else nothing gets done. Yes, you might not get everything done along the way but to just hit it in the ballpark is good enough. Write it down in ink, add it to your calendar planner and if you really want to make it happen, you can sign a mini contract with yourself that says you will do the thing by x date.

Thanks to everyone who has tuned into my podcast this year, bought me coffees through donations on ko-fi or patreon, shared my work on social and all your kind words.
It’s a joy to work through all these challenges when everything is said and done.
See you next week for more bagels and banter 😀
