Quiet Time
Lying on the floor doing nothing
This morning I took some quiet time to myself after waking.
I hadn’t taken this time for a few weeks.
Every time I return to the mat, I am reminded how precious this time is.
You can basically just lie on the floor.
Ask the formed world, aka the corporate world, to leave you alone for a bit.
On the floor, my body can settle into its natural shapes.
The longer I stay on the mat, the more chances I have to connect with the formless world.
The formless world is that which we came from.
It’s also the place we go after our body gives in and says its had enough of this place.
So you might as well start to get it know it while you’re here in the world of form.
On the treadmill of life, you will have no idea that another world exists.
Wrapped up in other people’s garbage, you can’t see the forest for the trees.
All day long, companies want you to buy soap or retirement plans.
By contrast, this email is selling you something that demands no money in exchange of its service... Peace of mind.
Peace of mind is a free product that’s available to anyone who looks for it.
It’s found on yoga mats and blocks. It exists on chairs and beds, but those items reek of the formed world.
There is a lot of it inside forests and trails.
Don’t ask people to leave you alone.
Have zero expectations of other humans, an incredibly messy species that is the direct descendant of the chimp.
Instead, design a life for yourself where no one has the passwords to your peace of mind.
Go to the designated spaces outlined in the last paragraph to create your fortress.
There, you can fortify your connection with the formless world that you came from, and where you are headed back to.
