Things you can’t live without
Every time I house/dog sit for my parents I take note of the items that I absolutely must bring with me. These are the items that I cannot live without.

I am curious to know, what are the items for you that seem to get packed on every trip or temporary relocation?
Nummy Coffee Alternative. This one uses dandelion and chicory root. I think it’s only available in Canada but I saw on the package that it’s imported from Czech Republic so I imagine similar drinks appear in different countries. Dandy Blend also must be similar.
Ninja Smoothie Maker. Mine is the basic one that just makes one cup at a time. I put in a banana, some frozen berries, a dopple of yogurt, protein powder (currently hemp), peanut butter powder and almond milk.
Standing desk. I did not bring my standing desk converter (which is basically an ironing board), and I could feel even more out of shape than usual. Standing desks in general are tricky to get right but they pay dividends for cardio health.
Battery powered fan. These things are taking the world by storm. USB rechargeable, unlike the ones that we had as kids which were probably running on C batteries. This one came in handy when the power was out earlier in the week after that massive rainstorm.
What are the things you can’t live without these days?
Three Ideas from My Notebooks
Do the work, not to impress people but to prove to yourself it can be done. This is the trap that we all fall into continuously. When we’re not careful we start living in a way that is fulfill other people’s desires. Just refer back to whatever it is that your community grooms young adults to do, and you can start to see the picture more clearly.
Remember my note about Elbow Grease last week? Talk really is cheap. You have to put your head down and knock things off your list.
Every day ask yourself how far you can go and still get away with it? I’m not referring to doing malicious things. This is about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. To try breaking things. To tinker with the structures that keep us glued in our chairs. How far can you go and still get away with it?
A long archive of the ideas are located in The Ideas Index:
Thanks for reading today, and have a great week ahead 🧡🥯🧡
