A bit late to the party, but as you've said before, better late than never :)

A few things I've learned over time about neti pot:

- prepare boiled (sterile) water with just normal salt (not something fancy), but be sure to taste and *like* it, salinity of the body varies a lot, so it needs to match in order to better help your nasal passages

- should be as warm as you feel okay on your cheek

- leave the water to start running, even if it is initially just dripping - helps to clean up more from your sinuses.

Thank you funny I thought this comment was on my newest post which talks about nasal strips. Your tips are helpful, but I do find it is still a bitter process. the water might be too salty though (i use a packet that has the "fancy" salt inside)
