I was in the park when I've listened to this piece on noise-canceling headphones, and the noises that were passing through the streets around the park even very quietly were mixing with the ones that were not being canceled by your phone's mic. It was surreal, almost like the piece with the absent listener where birds from your continent were mixing with those outside my apartment. :)
Anyhow, just a thought on preparing a bit when traveling to a place without internet - always prepare some offline maps, they might save your life on some occasions.
About the approximation - we always strive to be too precise nowadays in almost everything, perhaps because technology is pushing us in this direction.

That's great, I think I often forget that people will listen in a range of environments and not necessarily in isolation with studio headphones like I used to do before I started recording this on my phone.
Yes someone at the park told me that a lot of people download google maps or something before they enter into the no-cell service of that region.
